team base/lair - want your own "titans tower" where your team can call home (or their home away from home)? or perhaps your villain requires a castle where they can come up with devious plans with other cunning devils. these home turfs can be purchased for the low, low price of 150 acclaim as sub-boards within the larger "TEAM BASES" board. threads in these bases or lairs will net you a bonus of 50 acclaim to your earnings! To purchase this item properly, list these things out in your plan section:[break][break]

• A short description about the base (maybe some of the features, location, appearance, etc.) Descriptions for Aegis and Reign HQs are good examples.

250 Acclaim

minor gadget - superpowers aren’t the only thing that can aid in saving a life. Tools can be just as handy in some situations, which is where gadgets come in. in this case, these are more “mellow” gadgets. Your typical grappling hook, birdarang or batarang, smoke bombs, gas pellets, boxing glove arrow--items like these acquired after you’ve been approved with your original list of equipment would run you 250 acclaim.

500 Acclaim

minor upgrade/addition/change - nothing stays the same forever, and that includes your character. with time, they will grow both as a person and in power, learning new things about themselves and what they’re capable of. however, sometimes these changes aren’t always so drastic. has your character learned a new language? maybe they’ve lost an appendage and had it replaced with a bionic one that increases their strength but not by very much? perhaps they’ve learned to use their power to control fire a bit more. these would all count as minor upgrades/additions/changes.

major gadget - as mentioned before, superpowers aren’t the only thing that can aid in saving a life, not every hero, villain, vigilante or anti-hero even has powers, and even some of the ones that do have their own short-comings that they need to make up for. Webbing with tensile strength that rivals metal cables, explosive throwables or arrows, taser gloves, rocket boots--fun gadgets like these will run you a more hefty price at 500 acclaim.

1,500 Acclaim

major upgrade/addition/change - sometimes, growth, in a way, seems like a bit of an understatement. did your character develop an entirely new aspect of their power? have they leapt from being an absolute rookie at something to a fearsome master of it? are they now able to run at hypersonic speeds after a life-altering journey compared to their subsonic speeds before? maybe that bionic arm from earlier is now decked out in weaponry or has been upgraded to actually boost their strength massively. or perhaps their entire physiology has been altered, allowing for superhuman conditioning. these would all count as major upgrades/additions/changes that will run you 1,500 acclaim. you may only purchase one at a time with each purchase being a month apart.

variable

massacre/destruction ticket - not all villains are simple and petty thieves. Some are conniving, devilish men who just want to watch the world burn, and others are scheming visualists with their own image of a better tomorrow, and sometimes to make these dreams come true, lives must be lost. as such, players can buy an attempt to commit a massacre or cause mass destruction with good IC reasoning on why they’re doing so. the method of how this may be pulled off is up to the player. perhaps they’ve set up a doomsday device or maybe they’re using their powers to pull this off. we’re not gonna charge you to destroy a wall or kill a small group of officers or something, but large amounts of people/property such as several city blocks or hundreds or thousands of people will fall into this item. in order to make a request for it, apply like you would with any other item except add the details such as exact location, number of people/size of property you plan to attempt to destroy (in square miles or square kilometers), and after some brief math, staff will get back to you with a price fitting for your endeavors and you can begin a Crisis Alert thread for the event! now, this may sound unfair because what if you fail and lose your Crisis Alert thread? well, fret not! to ease that fear: players only have to pay the set amount if they succeed. if you lose, don’t worry about it! no charges will be held against you and you get to keep your acclaim! it’s only if you succeed that you will have to pay acclaim!
