In truth, Ahoeitu was conflicted over this whole youth initiative thing. To Ahoeitu, it just felt like some exaggerated and long-winded lesson set up by Director Harrison to teach Ahoeitu about the importance of teamwork. Probably something orchestrated by his father, causing him to roll his eyes even harder than the last twenty times since he was told about the project yesterday. How annoying. On the bright side, the public seemed to really like superhero teams. It made them seem less like agents of Justice and more like humans doing a job for the greater good. It gave the illusion of humility, something Ahoeitu was proud to be absent of in reality. Humility was just a self-made limiter as far as he was concerned. Compared to the humble little kid scrambling to get his science fair project together, Ahoeitu had never felt better. At least, that's what he continued to tell himself as he bounded through Wayport, slamming into the ground with each jump, ignorant of the resulting damage.
His first assigned target for this recruitment was a hero by the name of Kunoichi-Chan, also known as Kyoko. Seemed that she was Japanese. They at least had that in common. Hey, maybe it'd make the whole thing work out easier. If he needed to persuade sober, that'd be the card that he'd pull to gain sympathy and understanding. They weren't even on the same team yet and he was already thinking of ways to manipulate her. Ahoeitu grinned. Such genius.
Upon finally arriving at his destination, he’d crash through a thick layer of trees in a small corner of Washington Park, branches snapping in his wake before he slammed into the dirt. Casually, the Samoan hero strutted out of the dust and debris from his landing and paused. There was no one out here. Despite the popularity and dense crowds of people that typically littered Washington Park, apparently this area managed to be secluded, cut off from the outside world. He turned to his right to see the words “DO NOT TRESPASS” violently engraved into a sign. Ahoeitu scoffed. “Scary.”, he uttered sarcastically before continuing on his way.
He walked down a winding, dark path. He was in the middle of a metropolis, walking deeper and deeper into the woods. Strange, but he’d been through stranger things. At last, he was left in front of a cabin, deeply nested in the area. It was exactly as the Aegis files had described it. “Bingo!”, the boy said to himself before walking up to the door. Any other agent would survey their surroundings at this point instead of taking the cabin at face-value. But Ahoeitu was the only threat in these woods as far as he was concerned. On his walk, he had seen the results of struggle, torn pieces of clothing and trash strewn on oddly erected branches and vines, but the absence of bodies or blood was enough to convince him that whatever happened was simply a scare, nothing more.
With complete lack of caution or fear, Ahoeitu rudely pounded on the cabin’s door. “Yo, it’s Victory, hurry up and open up!”, he called out. “Got a special project to talk to you about!”

Ahoeitu used to be a kind and sweet boy who simply did not like bullies, but ever since his life-saving experiment, he's become something of a different person, something that he and those around him have ignored, not noticing that the hero he was spliced with not only re-emerged within Ahoeitu through his pink eyes and psionic abilities, but his shift in attitude as well, with the bonding taking place even on a psychological level.[break][break]
The metahuman teen still has a knack for botany (though he's not nearly as passionate about it as he once was) and remains quite an educated fellow with a talent for academics. He's also just as bold as he was before, perhaps even more so now, willing to stand in the face of anyone or anything in the name of protecting those who can't protect themselves. He's still incredibly strong-willed and determined, especially with his mental fortitude now being boosted on a literal superhuman level. Lastly, he's great at thinking on his feet, and he's typically very honest as he rarely ever sees reason to withhold most truths.[break][break]
While this honesty may seem good on surface-level though, it is a double-edged sword. In truth, Ahoeitu has a very hard time understanding other people's feelings at all, causing him to come off as extremely inconsiderate in many cases. Furthermore, while he is intuitive, this is only because he spends so much time being ridiculously impulsive and picking fights with people he knows nothing about and has gotten used to needing to adapt as quickly as possible to survive said encounters. That being said, arrogant is kind of an understatement when describing Ahoeitu. After his splicing, his ego has never stopped inflating--or, more accurately, Espio's ego continues to overtake him--causing him to make stupid decisions with an unreasonable belief in his own capabilities. Finally, he can also be described as vengeful, going to almost any lengths to prove his superiority, and he's an extremely difficult person, making it hard for him to work with others.[break][break]
Ahoeitu was born in Baltimore, Maryland to a Samoan mother and a Japanese father. His father was a geneticist working at a scientific research facility for Aegis while his mother was a street painter. The three didn't exactly live an extravagant, luxurious lifestyle but they weren't poor either. Ahoeitu's father spent most of his time slaving away in the name of research while his mother balanced being a stay at home mom and her dream of being an artist.
For the most part, Ahoeitu's life was pretty normal in the beginning. He did have a bit of a troubled streak as he did have the stereotypical Samoan fighting spirit, meaning that he was always ready and willing to stand up for himself and those he cared about, even if it wasn't in the right place or at the right time. However, Ahoeitu was not a delinquent. He was in fact a very sweet child who simply didn't like bullies.
While Ahoeitu was clearly a fighter, his passion was more in academics. While he hated the fact that his father was practically never home and always at work, leaving his family alone every night, he was infatuated with science much like his father. It was as if it were in his DNA. But, rather than diving into genetics, he preferred a different type of biology, specifically botany because of how many flowers his mother used to paint and then hang up around their home.
When he was fourteen years old, Ahoeitu (along with the rest of his class) was assigned to participate in the school's science fair. With his passion for Biology, Ahoeitu absolutely leapt at the opportunity, spending many days and nights on making the perfect project. When the actual day of the fair came, his mother insisted on driving Ahoeitu to his school and checking out the fair herself along with all the other parents as a form of showing her support. It'd be the first time one of his parents showed up to one of his school events, so while he did put up the classic teenager facade and begged her to stay home, faking embarrassment, deep down he couldn't be any happier.
Unfortunately, on their way to the fair, he and his mother both got caught in the crossfire between a supervillain and a superhero named Espio, who was a cocky, brash alien hero with psychic abilities who was known for extreme property damage due to his recklessness. In the heat of the battle, he dodged a blast that struck the car Ahoeitu was in, instantly killing his mom in the driver's seat, and leaving him clinging on to a sliver of life.
The battle concluded soon after. The villain had taken advantage of Espio's cockiness and blew himself to smithereens, taking the alien's life. When Ahoeitu's father and the rest of the Aegis crew arrived, he was shattered to find the corpse of his wife and dying son. Out of desperation, Ahoeitu's father took his son, along with Espio's corpse back to the Aegis research facility where he used his knowledge of genetics to splice Espio's DNA with his own son's, unknowingly fusing their psychological essences as well, as Espio's PSI energy meshed with Ahoeitu's mind and body.
When Ahoeitu awoke weeks later, he now had pink eyes like Espio before him, and budding powers that he could not control. To avoid the spotlight after his mother's death, he and his father moved to Wayport. There, Ahoeitu trained himself and his abilities with Aegis from fourteen years old and continued highschool uptown where he was forced to pretend he was blind in order to have an excuse to keep shades over his eyes and cover the unique pink hue they now possessed. He also began to have a personality shift, becoming more cocky and arrogant with each passing day, though those around him simply chalked this up to puberty. Eventually, after recently completing his training, he decided to skip out on college entirely and devote himself to being Victory and a full-time, paid Aegis agent.
The hero before him by the name of Espio possessed a massive ego and incredible psionic powers due to his innately gargantuan amount of PSI energy. Upon his passing and splicing with Ahoeitu, these powers have begun to reemerge within the boy. The list below are the abilities that he's "regained" so far from what Espio himself used to have. [break][break]
↣ EXTRASENSORY PERCEPTION [break][break] EXTRASENSORY PERCEPTION. [break][break]With the help of his psionic powers, Ahoeitu can gain various abilities that allow him to see the space around him and even time in a very unique way.
Precognition: In other words, Ahoeitu can see into the future. However, this isn't some level of precognition that rivals a fortune teller or an oracle. Ahoeitu can simply see a glimpse into the future when he is in danger, allowing him to avoid being blindsided. This basically makes it a more specific version of danger intuition. (This also makes him somewhat of an involuntary cheat at card games when his bank account is in danger.)[break][break]
X - Ahoeitu cannot activate this power willingly, it only activates when there is danger in his future. Furthermore, he can only see a few seconds into the said future.[break][break]
X - Ahoeitu cannot see the future unless it's his own life/well-being being threatened. If someone were getting ready to blindside a friend of his, no matter how much he cares for them, he wouldn't see it coming with precognition as it would not activate.[break][break]
X - Just because Ahoeitu can see something coming doesn't mean he has the speed to dodge it. He could see someone getting ready to smack him at lightspeed, but the precognition would only be added salt to the wound as he still wouldn't be able to dodge in time due to his own speed limitations.[break][break]
X - This ability doesn't kick in with every attack thrown at him, only ones that he wouldn't otherwise expect. That being said, it can even make things worse at times. If multiple unexpected threats present themselves at once, Ahoeitu would be overwhelmed, his brain being unsure of which possible future to glimpse into, essentially causing him to freeze up as he "thinks" for too long.[break][break]
OOC NOTE: This ability won't activate before an opposing player has decided when and how they will strike. The power isn't meant to force others to do what I would want/guess they would do. (e.g. Ahoeitu can't "see" someone punching him when the player behind that character didn't want to take that approach). The order of events are meant to be: My Post > Player's Post in which they decide to sneak attack/blindside him however they want > My next post in which Ahoeitu can see it coming and he's either able to dodge or he can't. [break][break]
Highlighting: Another one of the sub-abilities that apply to his ESP, Ahoeitu has the ability to sense and highlight allies, enemies, animals, and other presences in a 360-Degree field that spans fifteen yards (in radius, thirty yards in diameter). The world around him turns black and white while allies are shown as a glowing blue figure that shares the outline of their origin, enemies are shown as glowing red, and presences with unknown intent are shown as white.[break][break]
X - Being that this technique is limited to only sensing the consciousness of another being, robots and other man-made lifeforms cannot be located or tracked through the use of this technique.[break][break]
X - The ability allows him to see the locations of many, but only their location. He can't hear what they're speaking about or anything of the sort. [break][break]
X - Ahoeitu cannot use this ability in combat or when moving as he is not nearly experienced enough to fight in the slightest with 360-degree perception, nor is he particularly good at moving with it. [break][break]
↣ TELEKINETIC FORCE MANIPULATION [break] TK FORCE MANIPULATION. [break][break] Espio had the ability to manipulate telekinetic forces in their rawest form, essentially giving him telekinesis and psychic energy manipulation. Naturally, after being bonded with his DNA, Ahoeitu has the same capabilities though he hasn't gotten that far in potency.[break][break]
Tactile Telekinesis: This is the only telekinetic power that Ahoeitu has for the time being. He can use his telekinesis but only possesses enough skill to do so relative to himself. Specifically, this power gives him superhuman conditioning, allowing him to lift up to 1,000 tons, potentially dish out and survive attacks powerful enough to destroy a mountain. He can move around at a maximum of 220,000 MPH (or 354,055 km/h) and can leap high enough to clear a skyscraper in a single bound. His endurance and agility have also been telekinetically enhanced.[break][break]
X - Ahoeitu's powers are literally fueled by how much he thinks he can do. In other words, the more self-confident he is, the more he can handle, hence why Espio had an incredibly large ego and now Ahoeitu does too. Unfortunately, such a large ego is often fragile. Suffering defeat or loss and realizing he's completely at fault for it can cause him to harshly lose confidence, and subsequently lose a great amount of power until he regains his confidence. Fear will also throw him off of his game.[break][break]
X - Tactile telekinesis, like all of Ahoeitu's powers, runs on the PSI energy he has in his reserves. If this energy is nullified or absorbed, he will effectively be rendered powerless until this energy returns. [break][break]
Another effect of his psionic abilities, Ahoeitu's memory has been enhanced incredibly beyond what the average human would typically be capable of. Luckily, this was also one of his first abilities, one that carried him through both Aegis Agent training and highschool.[break][break]
Enhanced Reading: Ahoeitu can read, understand, and retain information from books and other texts at a superhumanly fast rate.[break][break]
X - Reading too much in too little time can end up giving Ahoeitu a disorienting headache. [break][break]
Adoptive Muscle Memory: Ahoeitu can see and copy a physical action (such as an acrobatic/gymnastic movement or a martial arts technique) performed by a person either in front of him, on TV, on stage in front of him or whatever the situation may be and replicate said movement almost flawlessly.[break][break]
X - While he can replicate movements, it does not mean that he can apply them as well as the person who performed that movement. For example, just because he can replicate the moonwalk doesn't mean he knows how to do it on the beat or just because he can replicate Bruce Lee's techniques doesn't mean he knows how to use Jeet Kune Do nearly as well who someone who's actually taken the time to learn and understand it. [break][break]
✽ ACROBATICS [break][break] A skill that Ahoeitu has acquired with the help of his Adoptive Muscle Memory and three years of Aegis training, he is an incredible acrobat, able to twist and move through the air and on the ground in extraordinary ways. [break][break]
✽ CLOSE QUARTERS COMBAT EXPERT [break][break] Another skill that's an immediate product of his Aegis training, Ahoeitu is an incredible combatant, having taken the Aegis CQC training to another level with his strength, speed, and acrobatic ability.[break][break]
✽ BIOLOGY [break][break] From his infatuation with the subject from when he was a child, Ahoeitu has an extensive knowledge of biology. More specifically, botany. [break][break]
✽ BILINGUALISM [break][break] At the moment, Ahoeitu is fluent in both English and Japanese thanks to his mother. He hasn't tried to learn Samoan or any other language beyond these two.[break][break]
